Are you another Rideshare / Delivery service?

No. We don't compete with any of the rideshare, food, grocery or parcel delivery companies. Using community data, we're here to help you better understand when, where and what job to work in your city so that you can earn more in less time.

Does this cost anything?

All users who successfully sign up will receive 14 days of free access to Solo. After 14 days, users can opt to subscribe to Solo via either the Basic ($5.99/mo) or Pro ($11.99/mo) plans. For those in eligible cities, you can guarantee your daily pay using Solo's credit system ($.25/credit). For more information on what's included check out our pricing page.

How do you actually help me make more per hour?

Today, worker earnings on any one company's platform (Uber, Doordash, Instacart, etc.) can be extremely volatile day to day or even hour to hour. They have different peak demand/pay periods and different levels of supply constraints. Without transparent, market wide earnings information it can make your decision of where and when to work extremely difficult.  We're here to give you all the information you need to see what jobs are paying the most in real time and make it easy to plan your schedule to hit your earnings goal faster. On average, users in cities where our Smart Schedule is available make 20% more per hour or up to $360/month in places like Seattle.

This seems too good to be true. How can you guarantee pay?

It's not too good to be true - it's math and statistics! As more Solopreneurs join the Solo platform, we are able to provide increasingly accurate pay predictions. As these predictions reach a certain level of reliability we then guarantee them for those scheduling their app based work with the Solo platform in a growing number of cities.

Does Solo track my location and miles?

Yes! You must opt-in to mileage tracking and keep the app on in the background while you work to qualify for the Pay Guarantee program. Solo's app automatically tracks and calculates your work-related driving so that you can maximize your tax deductions as long as you open the app and keep it running in the background while you work. The app matches your location with your gig working time so that you don’t need to turn the tracker on and off manually. You can also edit your deductible miles manually to ensure further accuracy. On average, we see that users can save $1,500/year in tax deductions when using Solo.

Does this work in my city?

Yes! You can access your income dashboard, mileage tracking and tax projections anywhere in the United States when you link your work accounts. Solo and the Pay Guarantee program are available in a growing number of metro areas—check out the map on our Pay Guarantee page for the full list.

How do I link my work accounts?

You can link as many work accounts (Uber, Doordash, Instacart, etc.) as needed during the signup process. To do this use your login credentials (usually an email or phone number) and the password associated with that account. Some companies may ask you to verify the connection via a text or email. If you begin working with other platforms after you have signed up you can link those accounts by accessing the 'Link Your Accounts' page in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

How long does it take to sign up?

Signing up can take as little as two minutes. Just follow these steps:
1. Head to the Apple or Google Play Store and download the app.
2. Follow the prompts to create an account
3. Securely link your work accounts (Uber, Doordash, Instacart, etc.) by logging in with your specific account credentials.
4. Start scheduling your optimal and guaranteed schedule using Solo's pay predictions!

What will you do with my data?

We use your data to help provide insights about your individual work history across multiple earnings sources. This data is aggregated anonymously with others in the community to provide city-level pay and performance benchmarks. We will delete your data if 1) you disconnect a linked work account or 2) if you delete your Solo account. You can find more information on our data policies here.

Do you store my login information? Can you access my accounts?

Your login credentials are secure, encrypted and sent directly to your chosen app which allows us to securely retrieve trip data. We will never receive a copy of your login info and we are not able to access your accounts. When you disconnect a linked work account, we also delete all data related to that user and platform.

What's the referral bonus?

This month, Earn $10 and give $10 when you share your link with friends—both parties must link active gig work account(s) to qualify for the bonus!  Connected accounts must have a minimum of one previous job, be using the latest version of the app, and have a connected payout method (Venmo or Paypal) to qualify.

I referred a friend and they linked their accounts, when will I get paid?

Referral bonuses will be processed every Tuesday for the previous week (Monday-Sunday). As long as both parties have their Venmo or Paypal connected to their Solo Wallet, we will send the reward as soon as we verify both users have linked their active gig work accounts. Check out our referrals page to learn more.

pay guarantee program

What is the Solo Pay Guarantee Program?

The Pay Guarantee program provides a daily income guarantee to users who use Solo’s Smart Schedule to plan their app based work schedule. If you earn less than what Solo predicted on a daily basis, we will pay you the difference at the end of the week. Soloprenuers can guarantee their daily pay using Solo's credit system.

What do I need to do to qualify for the Pay Guarantee program?

Apple or Google Play Store and download the app

2. Follow the prompts to create an account

3. Link your corresponding “app based” or “gig work” accounts (i.e. Uber, Lyft, Doordash, Grubhub, Ubereats, Shipt, Instacart, Amazon Flex, GoPuff, etc) and maintain that connection when participating in the Solo Pay Guarantee program.

4. Opt in and keep Solo’s location tracking feature on while working the scheduled time blocks and keep the app on in the background.

5. Use the Solo Pay Prediction feature to add hourly work blocks and save your schedule.

6. Be online, accepting the majority of requests and completing (according to the terms and conditions of the gig company) the corresponding jobs on those selected gig company accounts during the hours scheduled via the Solo Pay Prediction. Check out the map on our Pay Guarantee page to see what metro areas this feature is available in.

7. Average at least one job for every hour scheduled within a given day (jobs are defined as trips, deliveries, orders or other earnings activities).

8. Link a payment method (Venmo or Paypal) via the Solo app to facilitate the pay out of any applicable reimbursement.

Why do I need to set my schedule?

The Pay Guarantee tool shows you the optimal earnings schedule for your day. Saving your selected job schedule allows us to know which job you plan to work (and the corresponding predicted earnings to attribute to your pay guarantee).

Does the Pay Guarantee program cost anything?

Pro plan users have unlimited access to the Smart Schedule in their city. Pro plan users also receive 10 free credits (one credit = one hour of work) to guarantee their pay each month as a part of their subscription. To guarantee more than 10 hours, you can purchase additional credits for $.25. If you purchase credits in bulk, you can save up to 25%, bringing the price to $.19/credit. You can also find more information in our recent blog post or on our pricing page.

Where does this data come from and how do you predict hourly earnings?

We are able to provide earnings predictions for major gig jobs across each hour and day of the week by using collective data and insights from the Solo community. This real, community based data informs Solo’s predictive algorithm, which shows your predicted earnings by job and hour. Your anonymized work information contributes to the community insights; however, your personal information is never available to anyone else.

Why are you offering this?

Our overarching goal is to provide income stability for workers in the gig space by eliminating the downside risk associated with flexible work and variable pay. We believe this can be accomplished by providing you with better earnings data that solves the problem of where, when and what job you should work to hit your income goals. We want to help you, and others, stabilize earnings and optimize your time.

When do I get paid?

Payouts occur once weekly. While your earnings are assured on a daily basis, you will be able to access any accrued amounts for the prior week (Monday to Sunday) on the following Tuesday. For example, if you earn five dollars less than Solo’s predictions for each of the three days you schedule and work in a given week, you will accrue a daily amount of $15 for the week. Payouts will occur on Tuesdays during the day.

Is the Pay Guarantee Program in my city?

Solo and the Pay Guarantee program are currently available in select metro areas. See the full map and learn more on our Pay Guarantee page.

Are Pay Guarantee payouts considered taxable income?

No, you do not have to report any payouts resulting from the Solo Pay Guarantee program when filing your taxes. Any Pay Guarantee payouts are classified as a warranty when Solo’s Pay Predictions are above the amount you earn (assuming you meet the program requirements), which are not taxable income.
